Navigator: Learner by Gooru is a GPS for learning that navigates learners to their learning destination. Navigator provides real-time insights to instructors, administrators, content providers and funders to better support their learners.
Learner Navigator is our app for learners, it will generate a learning path to take a learner from their unique starting location to their learning destination, rerouting as needed throughout their journey.
Start the Engine
At the beginning of a course, learners sign-in to Navigator and take a short diagnostic assessment to determine what they already know across the specific domains of the course. Each domain has a list of corresponding competencies.
Navigator identifies what the learner has already mastered, and creates a Skyline, shown in blue.
The white line that connects the highest competency they have across the learning domains, is called a Skyline.
This landscape is different for each learner based on their current knowledge.
Get Directions
The learner indicates what they want to learn and Navigator establishes that goal as their learning destination, creating their Highline.
The set of competencies between their Skyline and their Highline are what the learner needs to master.
Navigator creates a personalized learning route of specific online resources and offline activities from Navigator Library Gooru’s catalog of curated content to navigate each learner to their destination.
Begin your Trip
The learner’s Skyline goes up with each competency mastered.
If a learner struggles at any point Navigator reroutes them to re-enforce the competencies that will get them back on their learning route.
Learners who are mastering concepts will be given the opportunity to have addition exposure to the content and skills to build deeper understanding
Reach your Destination
Learners reach their destinations through digital and offline activities.
Once a learner has reached their destination, they have the choice of gaining a deeper understanding in that subject or they can move on to their next learning journey.
